Orange and berry jam recipe

Ingredients:

2 oranges
500 g of berries (strawberries, raspberries, strawberries or a mixture of them)
800 g of sugar (the amount can be adjusted depending on sweetness preferences)
Juice and zest of one lemon

Wash the oranges and pour boiling water over them. Cut them into thin slices, then cut the slices into smaller pieces.
Prepare the berries, rinse them and chop them if they are large.

Cooking orange and berry jam:

Put the oranges, berries and sugar in a saucepan.
Add the juice and lemon zest.
Heat over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Cooking until ready:

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30-40 minutes, until the fruits become soft and the jam acquires the desired consistency.

Checking readiness:

Check the readiness of the jam by dripping a little on a cold plate. If the mass freezes, the jam is ready.

Packaging in cans:

Sterilize jars and lids.
Fill the jars with hot jam, leaving a small gap on top.
Cover the jars with lids and wrap them so that they gradually cool down.

Keeping:

After complete cooling, the jam is ready for use.
Store in a cool and dark place.
